  • NDR - my ex's husky :(

I got a call today from my ex's mom... saying that one of her huskies got into a fight with a beaver. We all know who won that one. I'm going out tomorrow morning to help her clean and stitch him up poor boy...

Ya, he is going to go tomorrow morning. She races the huskys in sled races, so she is close with her vet in terms of him showing her how to do stuff (clean, treat, stitch etc) incase anything happens when they are out training or what not. The wounds have been cleaned and disinfected, and is keeping him quiet until i get there tomorrow to help her. The vet told her to go ahead and stitch them if they needed to be, and to leave the ones that she suspected to be really really bad. That dog has been through lots... I can't even count how many quills I have pulled outta him... poor kid... I'll keep up with updates!

Lisa is right..some nasty, nasty wounds. I would think a trip to the vet is a must in this case.

lol.. well.. I asked the same thing. She said that there wasn't much left of it once Luca had "finished" (that sounds so bad)...

            Poor pooch.

From the photos it looks like it might be good to have a vet put a drain in that one wound.
            If stitched it may abcess.
